Join us Friday evening, June 23
for an invigorating Odd Socks
with
author/screenwriter David Grant
and
gastroenterologist Nick Boetticher.

David will speak about his Genetic Journey from Minneapolis to Ghana.
Nick will talk about Discovering the Frontiers of Gut Flora.

Each will speak briefly about their passions.
Then we turn it over to the audience and our presenters
to find similarities and make weird connections!

David Grant is a Twin Cities-based writer. As a playwright, his commissions include new work for the Minnesota Science Museum, Minnesota Historical Society, VocalEssence, The Playwrights’ Center, and Mixed Blood Theater. As a screenwriter, he has written for Russell Simmons’ Def Pictures, HBO, and the Showtime Network. He has been a recipient of screenwriting fellowships from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the McKnight Foundation.

Nick Boetticher practices advanced endoscopy as well as general gastroenterology. He is an accomplished endoscopist with formal training in ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound techniques. His awards include the Eugenie Mayer Bolz Award for outstanding gastroenterology patient care, the Internal Medicine Resident Outstanding Achievement Award.
